Il massaggio reflessogeno connettivale (BGM) e la riflessologia plantare sono in grado, attraverso diversi meccanismi, di esplicare le seguenti differenti azioni:
- influenzare direttamente un connettivo alterato (cicatrici,disturbi dell’irrorazione locale);
- mettere in movimento meccanismi generali di regolazione dinamica del circolo sanguigno;
- per mezzo di modificazioni della irrorazione sanguigna e con la liberazione di sostanze specifiche dai tessuti, possono influenzare la reazione chimica tissulare (capacità locale o generale del tessuto connettivo a trattenere acqua);
- è comprensibile che, secondo le azioni esposte in 2 e 3, sono in grado di provocare mutamenti nello stato soggettivo e nei meccanismi di regolazione di tutto l’organismo;
- evocare impulsi nervosi e, per mezzo di riflessi il cui arco si chiude nel Sistema Nervoso Centrale, possono provocare reazioni anche in organi molto lontani dalla zona di applicazione del massaggio.
